Goal: To create a tool that would make it easy to integrate digital literacy into any of my science lessons, which follow the 5E model (engage, explore, explain, elaborate, and evaluate).
What Works: I chose three digital literacy skills I thought would be most useful in a science classroom (finding information, evaluating sources, and creating and communicating digital content), then mapped quick moves for each one onto the five stages
Next Steps: It might be possible to make a grid like this for each digital literacy skill, that way I can choose the skill I’d like to build rather than be constrained to the stage we’re at.

Goal: To outline four sessions of professional development that introduce teachers to key principles of global education.
What Works: Each session opens with a protocol teachers can experience as learners before trying it with their students. Each session ends with one thing a teacher can use the following week: a modified lesson, a dialogue protocol, a place-based unit, and a digital literacy activity.
Next Steps: Have teachers establish a real classroom connections through iEARN or Class2Class.
